Ingredients: 180g sashimi grade salmon; A squeeze of lemon juice; 1/2 baby cucumber, diced; 1 spring onion, finely sliced; 1 tablespoon dill, finely chopped; A few shakes Tabasco or other hot sauce; 2 cornichons, finely chopped; 2 teaspoons capers, chopped; Toast to serve

Description

Our beautiful sashimi-grade salmon is perfect for this fresh, light tartare. Try using different soft herbs such as tarragon, chives or basil, or give things a Japanese twist with wasabi, sesame oil and lime.

Ingredients

180g sashimi grade salmon
A squeeze of lemon juice
1/2 baby cucumber, diced
1 spring onion, finely sliced
1 tablespoon dill, finely chopped
A few shakes Tabasco or other hot sauce
2 cornichons, finely chopped
2 teaspoons capers, chopped
Toast to serve

Method

Cut the salmon into dice.
Combine with the cucumber, spring onion, dill, cornichons and capers.
Mix well and add a few shakes of Tabasco, lemon juice and salt and pepper to season.
Serve at once with toast.
