Caviar Spoons

Because of caviar’s sensitive flavour profile, special considerations must be made when consuming it. 

When in contact with a metal utensil (namely silver), caviar can absorb its taste, resulting in a metallic, spoilt flavor. To prevent this from happening, it is customary to use a spoon made from Mother of Pearl, or other inert materials such as bone, glass, wood or ivory.

When accompanied with Mother of Pearl caviar plates, you’ll have the ideal caviar tableware to impress guests. You can enjoy your caviar’s delicious flavour, without concerns of spoiling, or any mess.

Caviar itself is delicious on its own, and there's really no need to add anything else. However if you do wish to accompany Caviar, we recommend serving Caviar with Eastern European pancakes called Blinis. 

Alternatively, toast, crackers or bread are all fantastic also. Other garnishes such as herbs, hard boiled eggs and boiled potatoes all compliment the taste of caviar beautifully.
