Description
These impressive tarts couldn’t be easier to make. Banana is topped with dulce de leche, a luxurious South American caramel made with sweetened milk. Some softly whipped cream and grated chocolate are all that’s needed to finish this dessert, although you could also top them with Italian meringue, or some chopped nuts.
- 12 sweet tart shells
- 1-2 bananas, peeled and thinly sliced
- 12 heaped tablespoons dulce de leche
- 150ml whipping cream
- A few pieces good quality dark chocolate, for grating
- Arrange a layer of banana slices in the bottom of each tart case.
- Top each with a heaped tablespoon of dulce de leche, and gently spread it out evenly.
- Whip the cream and top each tart with as much as you like.
- Grate over the chocolate and serve.
