Description
Burrata is often served as a starter or appetiser. Its unique texture and flavour make it a popular choice for cheese enthusiasts. It is often paired with fresh tomatoes and basil in summer, but some great winter recipes can also be achieved with burrata, such as pairing it with white truffle.
The combination of burrata and truffle oil is a match made in heaven. The creamy and mild taste of burrata pairs perfectly with the rich and nutty flavour of truffle oil. Together, they create a harmonious entree that will tantalise your taste buds.
- 1 Alba white truffle or any other seasonal truffle
- 1 burrata
- 1 handful of micro basil
- 2-3 tbsp white truffle oil

- Olive bread
- Place the drained burrata on a plate and sprinkle it with truffle salt.

- Cut your truffle thinly with a truffle slicer and carefully place the slices around the burrata.
- Top with micro basil and serve.
- It may be a good idea to add a bit more truffle oil once the burrata has been opened.
