The French name for honey cake is pain d'epice or spiced bread, and this is a succulent, rich loaf, flavoured with wonderful spices - star anis, ginger, cinnamon and honey. This is an original loaf made in the traditional French way. The flavours take you on a nostalgic journey down memory lane to childhood where the soft spices bring back memories of ginger cake.

Our favourite way to eat this loaf is with foie gras or cheese to perfectly balance savoury, rich textures and sweet spices. 

Please note, this bread is dense and not soft in texture. It is best served warm or toasted, to release all of its delicious spiced flavours and aromas.
